A company specialising in tours to North Korea has appointed a new marketing representative in Singapore, as it aims to drive more visitors from Southeast Asia.
China-based Experience North Korea has teamed up with Headline Marketing to promote its unique tour programmes to the world’s most secretive country. This marks the latest venture into the international market for the company, following its recent presence at the World Travel Market.
“Our presence at the recent World Travel Market in London was stimulating in the amount of interest in travel to North Korea. So much so that we decided to work with Headline in Singapore and generate Southeast Asian marketplace awareness and demand in what has to be the last of the last of the last travel frontiers,” said Experience North Korea’s managing partner, Nathalie Armengol.
“In the three years that Experience North Korea has been operating we have seen interest and travel to the country grow amazingly.
“Our alliance with Headline in Singapore will offer an Experience North Korea connection in Southeast Asia which will give information and guidance to both travel and public sectors alike,” she added.
The Shanghai-based company offers a range of individual and specialised group tours covering various themes, from sightseeing to golf and hiking. It is also offering guests the chance to compete in the Pyongyang Marathon in April 2015.
“North Korea is open for the traveller keen to see a country welcoming and stimulating in many ways. We look forward to assisting Southeast Asian adventurers in Experiencing North Korea,” Ms Armengol concluded.
