In an effort to lead the way in supporting sporting initiatives, Qatar Airways recently announced its partnership with Aspire Academy.

This partnership will witness formation of ‘Qatar Airways and Aspire Academy’s – Football Dreams Africa.

Qatar Airways group chief executive, HE Akbar Al Baker said: “The Football Dreams Africa project is excellent opportunities to make dreams of young footballers in Africa come true. We aim to use this project as a platform to nurture budding football talent and highlight effectiveness of sports as a key development tool.”

The airline currently operates 10 flights-a-week to Barcelona which will rise to a double daily service as of 16 February 2015.
