Marriott has continued its expansion in Thailand with the opening of a new Courtyard hotel in the resort town of Pattaya.
The new Courtyard by Marriott South Pattaya is a seven-storey, 132-room hotel, located within walking distance of Pattaya’s main attractions. It becomes only the second Courtyard-branded hotel in Thailand, following the Courtyard Bangkok.
“We are delighted to be opening our second Courtyard by Marriott-branded property in Thailand, in one of the hottest beach resort destinations, Pattaya. Pattaya has been growing in popularity, attracting both business and leisure visitors. Our continuous growth in Thailand is of great importance to Marriott International, and we look forward to expanding the presence of the Courtyard brand,” said Karl Hudson, Marriott’s area vice president for Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam & Japan.
The 132 rooms and suites at the hotel all feature flatscreen LCD TVs and free Wi-Fi, while other hotel facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym, cafe and a 150-pax capacity function room. A massage room will also open in 2015.
As well as becoming Thailand’s second Courtyard hotel, the new Pattaya property joins Marriott’s portfolio of 18 hotels and resorts across the country.
