China Eastern to add international routes from Nanjing

China Eastern Airlines has unveiled plans to launch a series of new international services from Nanjing, the capital of eastern China’s Jiangsu province.
The expansion with commence on 26 January 2015, with the launch of daily flights to Busan, the second largest city in South Korea. On four days of the week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays) the route will operated with a stop in the port city of Qingdao, in eastern China’s Shandong province. On the remaining days, flights will run via Yantai, also in Shandong province.
Also on 26 January, China Eastern will add flights from Nanjing to Japan. A new route to Fukuoka will operate three times a week (every Monday, Thursday and Sunday), while services to Osaka will start a day later, running every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Both Japanese routes will continue onwards between Nanjing and Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province.
Finally on 29 January 2015, China Eastern will launch flights from Nanjing to the Vietnamese city of Danang. This route will operate twice a week (Thursdays and Sundays) with a stop in Nanning, the capital of southern China’s Guangxi region.
All the new flights will be operated using single-aisle Airbus A320 aircraft.
