InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened its first ever Hotel Indigo property in Southeast Asia.
Located on Wireless Road in central Bangkok, the new hotel is designed to fit in with its surroundings, with “friendly neighbourhood hosts… happy to share their local tips”.
The property itself offers 192 rooms, all decorated with local artworks. Facilities include the Metro on Wireless restaurant, which serves Thai and international cuisine, plus the 22 Steps Bar. There is also an outdoor infinity-edged pool overlooking the Bangkok skyline and a 24-hour gym. Wi-Fi is free-of-charge throughout the hotel.
Hotel Indigo Bangkok becomes IHG’s ninth hotel in the Thai capital, in a portfolio that now covers five brands – InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Hotel Indigo.
Hotel Indigo’s Southeast Asian expansion will continue in Singapore, where IHG has already signed a management contract for a 131-room property in the Katong area of the city.
