IHG‘s boutique brand, Hotel Indigo, has launched new “locally crafted” food and beverage concept, aimed at offering its guests the best produce from a hotel’s local area.
Hotel Indigo’s brand philosophy is to connect with its properties’ neighbourhoods, with design concepts and artwork reflecting the destination.
And this concept will be expanded further with the launch of the new F&B project, which IHG says will see hotels partner with “local foodie artisans”.
“Restaurants and bars are the heart and soul of any good neighbourhood. The Hotel Indigo F&B philosophy demands that you don’t have just another hotel restaurant. The key to this is using a retail element tailored to your community to help create a local landmark. If you are a hit with your locals, your guests will feel that they have got the inside line on the neighbourhood,” said Simon Burdess, IHG’s vice president of F&B for Europe.
The F&B strategy piloted at the Hotel Indigo Kensington in London and will now be rolled out to every new hotel, starting with Hotel Indigo Helsinki which opens this spring.
