Holland America Line’s new ship ms Koningsdam will homeport in Amsterdam next summer following its launch.
The new ship will first offer seven and 12-day sailings in the Mediterranean from 20 February and will then reposition from Italy to Amsterdam for the summer.
Its 13-day Christening Cruise will depart on 9 May and include the ship’s official naming ceremony in Rotterdam on 21 May.
Koningsdam will then sail round-trip Amsterdam itineraries to Norway, the Baltics and Iceland. One itinerary departing 14 August will visit Newcastle, South Queensferry and Invergordon before heading to Iceland and Norway.
“For the first summer sailing season of our beautiful new ship ms Koningsdam, we’ve crafted some incredible itineraries to Europe’s most beautiful ports,” said Orlando Ashford, president of Holland America Line. “We recommend booking early because response to Koningsdam’s Premiere Voyages was overwhelmingly positive.”
Overall seven HAL ships will sail in Europe during summer 2016.
