InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a deal for three new Holiday Inn brand family hotels in France that will add nearly 500 rooms to its French portfolio. Holiday Inn Express Paris – Saint Ouen, Holiday Inn Express Paris – Charles de Gaulle Airport and Holiday Inn Ajaccio – Centre, Corsica, will increase IHG’s presence in France to 58 hotels once open.
Holiday Inn Express Paris – Saint Ouen will be a 110-room new build hotel that is expected to open in 2018 and will operate under a franchise agreement with new owner partner Atland SAS. Saint Quen is located between Paris, Clichy and Saint Denis. The hotel occupies a prime location nearby the metro station, which has direct access to the centre of Paris.
Holiday Inn Express Paris – Charles de Gaulle Airport will be a 305-room new build hotel that is expected to open in 2017 and will operate under a franchise agreement with existing owner partner IECH Groupe Cointet. The hotel will be built on the airport’s grounds and as such will be directly connected to the airport’s terminals, train station and remote car parks by the CDGVal metro system.
IHG already operates 19 hotels in Paris, including two InterContinental hotels (InterContinental Paris – Le Grand and InterContinental Paris – Avenue Marceau); 14 Holiday Inn hotels and one Holiday Inn Express hotel.
Holiday Inn® Ajaccio – Centre, Corsica, will be an 80-room new build hotel that is expected to open in 2019 and will operate under a franchise agreement with new owner partner H-One S.A.S. The hotel will be located in a new commercial centre in the Bay of Ajaccio on the Cours Prince Impérial, Corisca. Situated in front of the new marina between the old town and the airport, the hotel is just 2km away from the Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ajaccio.
Brice Marguet, IHG’s Development Director for France, said: “We are very excited to see great progress in France, both expanding our portfolio in Paris and, for the first time, taking one of our brands to Corsica. It’s also great to be working with two new owner partners who are showing their enthusiasm for our quality brands.”
