Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said the airport was undergoing renovation at a cost of RM123million (US$…) and would also see an extension to its runway to enable bigger aircrafts to land.
Terengganu is part of the East Coast Economic Region that is being developed that will incorporate tourism elements.
