Best Western has unveils plans for its seventh hotel in Bangkok.

The company recently signed a new-build midscale hotel in the central Sukhumvit district of Bangkok, making Best Western one of the biggest hotel groups in the Thai capital.

“Tourism in Bangkok is a huge success story and Best Western is delighted to play such a major part in it,” said Ron Pohl, Best Western’s senior vice president of brand management.

“With six hotels already present in the city, Best Western has a huge amount of confidence in Bangkok’s long-term prosperity. The launch of a seventh hotel, right in the centre of Sukhumvit, demonstrates our continued faith and this dynamic destination.”

Located on Sukhumvit Soi 16, the new Best Western will offer 75 rooms, all equipped with flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The hotel will also include a restaurant, fitness centre and meeting space.

Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2016, the new hotel will join the six existing Best Western hotels in Bangkok: Best Western Premier Sukhumvit, Best Western Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport, Best Western Plus At 20 Sukhumvit, Best Western Plus Grand Howard, Best Western Mayfair Suites and Best Western Klassique Sukhumvit.

And the company is also considering plans for further hotels in the city, including the potential launch of its new lifestyle boutique hotel concept, Vib, and its extended stay brand, Best Western Executive Residency.
