Thailand’s Minor Hotel Group has continued the expansion of its Australian brand, Oaks Hotels & Resorts.
The company has opened Oaks Carlyle, a new-build hotel in the city of Mackay, on Queensland’s central coast, which offers 59 one-, two- and three-bedroom serviced apartments, all with kitchens, living and dining areas and balconies.
The upscale property also features barbeque facilities, a swimming pool and a communal kitchen and lounge area.
“The opening of Oaks Carlyle marks an exciting milestone for Oaks Hotels & Resorts as we surpass 50 properties under the direction of Minor Hotel Group and its global expansion strategy,” said Oaks’ chief operations officer, Mike Anderson.
“We are thrilled to offer travellers the opportunity to choose from two premier Oaks properties when visiting the Mackay Region, whether it be for business or a relaxing, tropical escape that blends city, rainforest and reef.”
Oaks Carlyle becomes the brand’s 22nd property in Queensland and comes just six months after the company launched its first property in Mackay, the Oaks Rivermarque.
