Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the global launch of its revamped loyalty programme, Wyndham Rewards.

The company claims that its new reward scheme “bucks the current travel industry trend of confusing reward categories”. Instead, the Wyndham Rewards offers a points earning structure along with a flat, free night redemption rate.

Redemptions are now split into two categories; ‘Go Free’ allows members with 15,000 points to redeem a free night with no blackout dates, while ‘Go Fast’ allows members to book a night at available hotels for 3,000 points plus cash.

In terms of earning points, the ‘Go Get ‘Em’ concept allows members to gain 10 points for every dollar spent on a qualified stay, or a minimum of 1,000 points per stay.

“We are transforming the landscape of loyalty and launching the richest programme in the industry, rewarding our members with what they want most – a free night,” said Josh Lesnick, Wyndham’s executive vice president & chief marketing officer.

In tandem with the launch, Wyndham is now offering 45,000 bonus points or three free nights to members who sign up for a Wyndham Rewards Visa Signature card.
