Jumeirah Frankfurt has appointed Nicole Kienzler its new director of rooms, Thomas Rettig F&B manager and Frank Hartung head chef.

A German national, Nicole Kienzler brings extensive expert knowledge to Jumeirah Frankfurt gained from her roles at hotels in Germany and the United States. Thomas Rettig, a German national, also brings broad experience to Jumeirah Frankfurt. He was part of the pre-opening team at ‘nhow’ Hotel and Hotel Maritim both in Berlin, as well as roles in France, South Africa and England during his early career.

Frank Hartung spent his early career in Germany, United States, Switzerland and United Arab Emirates where he gained experience in various positions at Hotel Baur au Lac in Zürich, Grand Hyatt in Dubai and Hilton Hotel in Mainz.

 

 

 

 

Josef Bogdanski has been appointed chief information officer/chief process officer (CIO/CPO) of the Lufthansa Group. In his new role he will report to Harry Hohmeister, chief officer, Group Airlines, Logistics and IT.

Since the beginning of his career at Deutsche Lufthansa AG in 1984, Bogdanski has held leading positions in management, including the management of the Area Management Middle East, Southeast Europe & Africa, based in Dubai, and then the management of Sales in Germany, Global Key Account Management/Online Sales. Prior to his current appointment as CIO/CPO, he was responsible for the future programme “SCORE Change for Success”, which will be completed this year. Bogdanski replaces Dr. Christoph Kollatz in the role, who left the Lufthansa Group in April.

 

Touring and cruising specialist Cosmos Tours has appointed Paul Sharp its national sales manager with immediate effect.

Sharp’s remit is to develop the tour operator’s commercial trade strategy and provide UK partners with a fully dynamic and flexible worldwide touring and cruising programme through its brands Cosmos Tours & Cruises and Avalon Waterways.

Reporting to the company’s product & commercial director, John Fair, Sharp will focus on strengthening key trade partnerships and highlighting the ever-increasing breadth of product now available.

Sharp joins from AmaWaterways where he held the position of business development manager.

John Fair, product & commercial director commented: “We are delighted to welcome Paul to the team as he brings with him masses of enthusiasm and a wealth of experience of our specialist sector of the industry.”
