Brits flock to Milan Expo

With Expo Milano now well underway, Go Euro, a travel search engine that compares bus, train and flight options across Europe, has seen an increase in search and bookings to Milan of 180% from the UK – with 930,000 Brits visiting as a direct result of the expo.
This year, Expo Milano is expected to bring in 20 to 24 million visitors over the summer period, with hotel occupancy expected to be at 98% over the summer and travel within Italy to Milan up by up to 33%.
Expo Milano 2015 will be staged over a six-month period. During this time, Milan will become a global showcase for more than 140 participating countries and their respective cuisines.
