Best Western has announced plans to open a new upscale hotel in north Bangkok.

Scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2015, the new Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel will be located close to the IMPACT Mueang Thong Thani exhibition centre, the Thai government complex and World Medical Center.

The hotel will provide 183 rooms and suites, including a range of two-bedroom suites, making it suitable for extended stay guests. All rooms will come equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi.

“We expect that this stylish upscale hotel will become a magnet for corporate travellers, due to its proximity to local businesses, government offices and IMPACT,” said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western’s managing director of international operations for Asia.

“Bangkok is a global city and Best Western is delighted to be expanding the number of accommodation options for all types of traveller to the city.”

The hotel will feature a restaurant, lobby lounge, swimming pool and fitness centre, plus eight function rooms, including a large 1,014m² banqueting hall.

With the addition of the Best Western Plus Wanda Grand Hotel, Best Western will offer a collection of seven hotels in Bangkok, covering three of its brands: Best Western, Best Western Plus and Best Western Premier.
