Red Planet, the Asian budget hotel chain, has unveiled a new affiliate programme which offers a series of benefits to members, including commissions and free Apple Watches.

Under the Referred programme, members will be encouraged to promote Red Planet hotels to their family, friends and colleagues, and through their social networks, with the chance to earn cash commissions for each paid reservation. This will also be extended to organisations, associations and any websites wishing to participate.

As part of the launch, Red Planet is giving away Apple Watches to guests booking through the Red Planet app and staying at any of its 25 hotels between now and 30 September 2015.

“It’s a significant day for Red Planet,” said the company’s CEO, Tim Hansing. “We cater to a very loyal segment of the travel industry which deserves access to a range of mobile services, technological enhancements and affiliate programme opportunities.

“None of our competitors offer the new functionalities of our app or provide an opportunity for guests to monetise their loyalty through an affiliate programme. This positions us as the true market leader in our segment.”

The launch of the Red Planet’s Referred affiliate programme follows the recent roll-out of its Remembered loyalty programme, which has signed up more than 15,000 members in three months.

Red Planet currently owns and operates 25 hotels in the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and Thailand.
