Shangri-La will open its first hotel in India’s ‘Garden City’, Bengaluru, on 24 September.
Spread across more than 8,000m² of land in the city centre, Shangri-La Hotel Bengaluru will offer 367 rooms, starting from 41m², and 30 suites which range in size from 98 to 274m². There is also Horizon Club for executive guests.
F&B facilities at the 19-storey hotel initially include Chinese and international restaurants and a cafe, while three more restaurants will open in future, including Mediterranean, India and Japanese outlets. Also opening before the end of the year will be a rooftop bar with indoor and outdoor spaces.
Other amenities include a spa with a dedicated Ayurveda room, outdoor and kid’s swimming pools, a 24-hour gym, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, plus two entire floors of function space, including a 739m² grand ballroom.
“Shangri-La’s expansion on the Indian sub-continent marks an exciting third quarter for the group. We are excited to reveal a new luxury landmark in Bengaluru that adds to our international presence and will welcome our loyal and new guests for business or leisure,” said Shangri-La’s president & CEO, Greg Dogan.
Shangri-La Hotel Bengaluru becomes the Hong Kong-based hotel group’s second property in India, following Shangri-La’s Eros Hotel in New Delhi.
