Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) will showcase its offers and new products in Rimini at TTG Incontri.

There has been significant increase in arrivals in Abu Dhabi from Italy – the first six months of 2015 witnessed a growth of 28% in guest arrivals compared 2014. In light of this growth, the authority is continuing promotional activities in southern European country to help capitalise on numbers travelling to the emirate.

“We saw 34,781 Italian guest arrivals in the first six months of this year compared to 2014, spending 138,736 guest nights in our 163 hotels and hotel apartments,” said Mubarak Al Nuaimi, director, promotions and overseas offices, TCA Abu Dhabi.

“Italy is now our third largest European market, behind the UK and Germany and we want to continue to build on this impressive surge in visitors. While there are more guest arrivals from Italy, who are spending more nights, we need to encourage them to stay longer to address a slight drop in average length of stay to 3.99 nights. We have set ourselves ambitious targets and are confident of achieving it,” he further added.

The authority is attending TTG Incontri along with Etihad Airways, Arabian Adventures, Emirates Falcon Tourism LLC, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, Sharaf Tours and The St. Regis Abu Dhabi.
