Onyx Hospitality Group has announced its entry into Vietnam, with the signing of a new Ozo hotel in Hoi An.

Scheduled to open in late 2016, the new Ozo Hoi An will offer 364 rooms, plus a restaurant gym and meeting space. The property will also form part of a new beachfront leisure complex also featuring F&B and retail outlets, and a pool which guests can access.

“Vietnam is one of the region’s fastest growing travel destinations and we are excited to have Ozo Hoi An as part of our continuing expansion plans,” said Peter Henley, Onyx’s CEO. “With the increasing popularity of Vietnam’s south-central coast amongst regional and international visitors, we have identified a gap in the market for a select service hotel like Ozo.”

A midscale hotel concept, Ozo offers guest-friendly in-room amenities including high-speed Wi-Fi, workspaces with multimedia panel and built-in connectors, black-out curtains and sound proofing.

Since the opening of its first hotel in 2013, Ozo has since expanded to five locations in Hong Kong, Thailand and Sri Lanka. As well as its launch in Vietnam, Onyx is also planning to bring the brand to Malaysia and China in future.
