Etihad Airways promotes sporting initiative in KSA

Etihad Airways and Al Ittihad Football Club recently inked an agreement in Jeddah, marking the start of the new partnership.
The three year agreement named the airline as the official airline partner for the Abdul Latif Jameel League club. The signing ceremony took place at Al Ittihad FC between Ibrahim Al-Balawi, president of Al Ittihad FC and Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways’ chief commercial officer. Hareb Al Muhairy, senior vice president corporate and international affairs and Patrick Pierce, vice president sponsorship were also present.
The airline will continue to activate the partnership with Al Ittihad FC across a number of marketing and communications platforms, including home matches in King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, exclusive club events and player appearances. While Al Ittihad FC will also use Etihad Airways as its preferred airline when the club and its supporters travel overseas for matches, including the Asian Champions League tournament.
