Wyndham opens first hotel in Auckland

Wyndham Hotel Group has opened the Ramada Suites Auckland Federal Street – its first property in New Zealand’s largest city.
Located in the central business district, the new-build Ramada offers a mix of 42 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, all with kitchens, washing machines, dryers and free Wi-Fi. The hotel also features include a restaurant and bar.
“The Auckland area has long been a gateway to New Zealand and the most visited destination, welcoming more than 70% of the country’s visitors,” said Barry Robinson, Wyndham Hotel Group’s president & managing director for Southeast Asia and Pacific Rim.
“The World Tourism Organisation predicts visitor arrivals will reach more than 1.5 billion by 2020 and our new Ramada location will deliver to these travellers a contemporary, value-driven lodging experience with the comforts of home in the heart of the city.”
Wyndham currently operates three Ramada hotels in New Zealand, including a new location in Christchurch which opened in February of this year.
