In a bid to highlight its innovation streak, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAK TDA) will be exhibiting new projects.
The event focussed on innovation will run from 22 – 28 November and will feature more than 800 ideas and activities throughout the week.
The tourism authority is announcing two major initiatives which will allow visitors to get to the heart of RAK and complement new tourism developments on display.
The Ya Hala Ambassador Programme is an initiative where emiratis from Ras Al Khaimah can volunteer to become ambassadors for the emirate. The ambassador programme will be rolled out using a mobile app that can be downloaded for free. The app will allow visitors to Ras Al Khaimah to connect with local ambassadors to experience traditional Emirati hospitality and take advantage of insider tips.
Ras Al Khaimah Novels is the Tourism Development Authority’s project to start a search for people from across the emirate who have authentic stories to tell from their own personal experiences of Ras Al Khaimah.
Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, said: “Ras Al Khaimah has been experiencing consistent and significant growth in visitors. It is hugely important that we keep abreast of innovation developments from technology to digital. As an emirate, we are constantly developing projects and campaigns that show our creative, innovative approach to guest experience.”
The event is a consolidated effort by UAE government, private sector and individuals.
