China’s Wanda Hotels & Resorts has opened a new luxury property in Chengdu.
The new Wanda Reign Chengdu is located in the city’s business district, where South Renmin Road meets the Jinjiang River. Designed in a “new Chinese art deco” style, the hotel comprises 240 rooms and suites. Guests will enter the hotel at the ‘Sky Lobby’, which is located on the 41st floor and offers views across the city.
F&B options include a lobby lounge, the Galaxy Bar, the River Drunk restaurant with four private dining rooms, the Zhen Chinese restaurant and the 41st floor Café Reign, which is billed as the highest restaurant in Chengdu.
Other facilities include a spa, karaoke lounge and extensive meeting space, with six function rooms and a 1,150m² ballroom that incorporates a 90m² high-definition LED screen.
“It is with great pride that we bring the premium Wanda Reign label to Chengdu, a city steeped in history and culture, to present our most discerning domestic and international guests with the finest hospitality experience and revitalise the local hospitality industry,” said the hotel’s GM, Roger Marcz.
Wanda Reign Chengdu becomes Wanda’s second hotel in Sichuan’s capital city, and the first Wanda Reign-branded hotel in southwest China.
