A new nautical-themed luxury hotel has docked in Pattaya.
The Hotel Baraquda Pattaya MGallery by Sofitel is the latest member of AccorHotels’ MGallery Collection, which focuses on unique boutique properties.
Situated in the centre of the Thai resort town, the 72-room and suite hotel features a nautically-themed interior and exterior, designed to create “the ambience of a beach retreat”, according to AccorHotels.
Facilities include the SEA Restaurant, a cafe and rooftop bar, plus a large outdoor swimming pool with pool bar, a fitness centre and kids’ club. And for the MICE market there is an 80m² meeting room, which is accessible via an open courtyard designed to resemble a ship’s deck. Another 132m² function space, the White Lounge, is also available.
“Hotel Baraquda Pattaya breaks the generic mould of the city’s holiday accommodation,” said Wanitchaya Kietdamrongwong, the hotel manager.
“The unique interior and exterior design is reminiscent of a trans-Atlantic journey on a luxury liner, and this vibe is enhanced by its… accommodation, an eclectic choice of dining options including a rooftop bar offering a panoramic view of the city skyline.”
The new hotel becomes the first MGallery hotel in Pattaya, but it will soon be joined by a second, the Veranda Resort Pattaya MGallery by Sofitel, which is also expected to open January 2016. AccorHotels also operates two MGallery properties in Bangkok and others in Hua Hin, Cha Am and Chiang Mai.
