The Egyptian Minister for Tourism, Hisham Zaazou, said the event will take place on Tuesday 23 February.

The one-day conference will bring together senior executives from around the world who share an interest in the development of tourism in Egypt, including representatives from airlines, hotels, and tour operators.

There will be a number of high profile speeches during the day, panel sessions involving a number of Ambassadors to Egypt as well as a discussion led by airline and hotel representatives on increasing flights and hotel occupancy; and an update on security by Control Risks, the newly appointed world security expert advisors to the Egyptian Government.

The event will also cover the tourism initiatives planned for 2016 giving an overview of the international marketing campaign and developments at hotel and resort infrastructure across the country.

Zaazou said: “Our Planning for Growth conference is a major opportunity to hear what Egypt is planning for the future.  We are confident in Egypt’s ability to develop our important tourism sector in 2016, despite the ongoing global challenges to the sector.  We are proud to welcome tourism stakeholders from around the world to Cairo for this important discussion.”
