Hyatt is planning to open three more hotels in India this financial year as part of its expansion plans in the country.
New Hyatt Place hotels are expected to open in Hyderabad and Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, while the contemporary Andaz brand will make its debut in Delhi.
The Hindu quoted Kurt Straub, Hyatt’s vice president of operations for India as saying; “I think we have the biggest number of hotels here in a single country outside the United States. At present, we have 24 properties in India and by end of this financial year, we will have 27.”
These new hotels will join the 211-room Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, which opened recently. And Straub added that the company is also planning to open a Grand Hyatt in Kochi in the coming years.
