Thailand’s Dusit International has unveiled plans to open its first hospitality school in the Philippines.

Located at the company’s new dusitD2 The Fort hotel in Manila, the new Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC) will provide hotel and F&B training, and students will be able to gain practical work experience in different areas of the hotel.

Scheduled to open in 2017, the new college will offer degree programmes certified by the famous Swiss hotel school, École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), while its culinary programmes will be operated in collaboration with the Institut Paul Bocuse in France.

“The launch of the Dusit Hospitality Management College is significant as it affirms Dusit’s commitment to continue developing quality educational programmes to support the growing needs of the industry throughout the region,” said Dusit’s Group CEO, Suphajee Suthumpun. “We are very proud to partner with the École Hôtelière de Lausanne and with the Institut Paul Bocuse on this truly innovative project here in Manila.”

The dusitD2 hotel will feature 125 rooms, restaurants, function rooms, a swimming pool and fitness centre.
