Qatar Airways deploys A380 on Atlanta route

Qatar Airways has announced its intent to deploy an Airbus A380 on the maiden Doha – Atlanta flight commencing from 1 June 2016.
The regular daily service will be operated using a Boeing 777 aircraft.
The aircraft will be operated in a three-class configuration, the upper deck offers eight seats in first class, 48 in business class and a lounge for premium passengers, and 461 economy class seats spread across both decks.
Qatar Airways group chief executive, HE Akbar Al Baker said: “Qatar Airways will inaugurate Atlanta, its 10th destination to the United States. We look forward to welcoming our passengers to and from Atlanta on our inaugural flight, but also on every flight thereafter.”
The airline currently operates six Airbus A380s in its fleet, which are regularly scheduled to London, Paris and Bangkok. Qatar Airways originally ordered 13 Airbus A380s, with seven to be delivered.
