Wyndham Hotel Group has opened two new hotels in South Korea, continuing its rapid expansion in the country.

The company is planning to add multiple Korean properties in the coming years, and two of these have now opened – a Ramada in Incheon, the fast-growing industrial hub near Seoul, and a Days Inn in Dongtan, a new city in Gyeonggi province.

“The cities of Incheon and Dongtan… are undergoing continuous development of real estate and transportation networks and we see them as being extremely valuable to our growth in key tourism destinations for both business and leisure,” said Barry Robinson, Wyndham’s president & managing director for Southeast Asia & Pacific Rim.

The 245-room Ramada Incheon includes five traditional ‘Ondol’ rooms, which include under-floor heating, plus five children’s suites. Facilities include a restaurant, sky lounge, fitness centre, VIP lounge, rooftop spa and ballroom. It is located 30 minutes’ drive from Incheon International Airport.

The 116-room Days Hotel Dongtan meanwhile, includes a restaurant, café, fitness centre, self-service laundry room and a meeting room. It is located close to the Samsung Electronics Nano City.

Wyndham currently has 26 new hotels under construction across South Korea, including 17 Ramadas, six Days Inns and three Howard Johnson hotels.
