Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will soon gain a sister property.
Spain’s PortAventura World Parks & Resort is poised to launch Ferrari Land spanning some 60,000 square metres.
The park’s main attraction will be the vertical accelerator, which will stand even taller than PortAventura’s own Shambhala.
It will set a double record for being the highest (112 metres) and fastest (0-180 km/h in five seconds) roller coaster in Europe. The park will also feature a race track, two bounce-back towers standing more than 55 metres high, and F1 simulators for adults and children.
With an investment of approximately 100 million Euros, the new theme park is the largest project in the history of PortAventura Resort. As well as five themed hotels, one four-star and one five-star and three theme parks: Ferrari Land, PortAventura Park and Caribe Aquatic Park, PortAventura World also offers a Convention Centre with capacity for 3000 people, access to three golf courses and a beach club.
PortAventura is located in Tarragona in southern Catalonia.
