Having already launched several Hello Kitty-themed aircraft, Taiwan’s EVA Air is taking its partnership with cartoon creator Sanrio one step further, with the launch of its first ever Badtzu-Maru-themed plane.

From the middle of next month, Badtzu-Maru, Sanrio’s cartoon penguin character, will be displayed on an ATR turboprop aircraft operated by Uni Airways, EVA’s regional subsidiary.

The themed aircraft’s first flight will operate between Taipei’s Songshan Airport and the Penghu Islands from 13 September.

EVA’s fleet of Hello Kitty aircraft currently fly around the world, including services to Paris, Houston, Bali and Singapore.
