AccorHotels has relaunched its property in Medan following an extensive three-year refurbishment.
The Grand Mercure Medan Angkasa, which is located in the city centre, now features 266 rooms, three F&B outlets, a fitness centre, swimming pool and spa. There are also seven meeting rooms including a ballroom capable of accommodating up to 1,200 people.
“Relaunching of Grand Mercure Medan Angkasa is a significant milestone for us as part of the AccorHotels’ key strategy in strengthening our luxury and upscale portfolio,” said Garth Simmons, AccorHotels’ chief operating officer for Malaysia, Indonesia & Singapore.
“The hotel has undergone a massive transformation in the last three years to meet the service quality of the upscale brand standard under the Grand Mercure.”
Positioned as an upscale brand, Grand Mercure aims to combine AccorHotels’ French heritage with local culture. The Medan property is one of three Grand Mercures in Indonesia, along with two hotels in Jakarta.
