Japan’s Okura Hotels & Resorts has agreed to manage its first Okura-branded property in Vietnam.

The company has signed a deal with Alternaty Real Estate for the Okura Prestige Saigon, which will also mark the company’s second hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, following the Hotel Nikko Saigon. Okura also operates the Hotel Nikko Hanoi.

Opening in 2020, Okura Prestige Saigon will form part of the Satra Tax Plaza, a brand new 40-storey complex currently under construction on the site of the former Saigon Tax Trade Center.

Directly connected to a new metro line, the hotel will feature 250 rooms and suites, Japanese and international restaurants, a rooftop bar, outdoor pool, gym and MICE facilities.

Okura Prestige hotels currently operate in Bangkok and Taipei, while the brand will make its Cambodian entry in 2019 with the launch of the Okura Prestige Phnom Penh.
