Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has resumed operations in Asia after a break of 15 years.
The Norwegian Star cruise liner, which was completely refurbished in 2015, is embarked on a series of sailings from Singapore and Hong Kong this month. Four itineraries are available, starting on 22 December 2016 with a 14-day Southeast Asian cruise from Hong Kong, which visits Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand before arriving in Singapore.
The ship will operate an 11-day return cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong on 6 January 2017, visiting Thailand, Vietnam and the Chinese island of Hainan.
Then on 16 January 2017, Norwegian Star will set sail on a 33-day cruise from Hong Kong to Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, including calls in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia, before heading down to Australia and New Zealand.
Finally on 9 March 2017 the ship will complete its maiden Asian season with an 18-day voyage from Singapore to Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India, before moving on to the Middle East.
NCL previously confirmed that its Norwegian Jewel cruise ship will homeport in Australia in the 2017-18 season.
