For over ten years, AIDA Cruises has already been supporting SOS-Kinderdorf in its worldwide projects to help children in need. This year the proceeds from the raffle that is traditionally held on board the AIDA fleet on December 31 will once again go to the SOS Kinderdorf aid project in Iloilo in the Philippines and an SOS-Kinderdorf in Los Mina/Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

AIDA Cruises has been supporting various SOS-Kinderdorf projects in Germany, Africa and the Philippines since 2005.

“Many children have lost their families and their homes. We would like to help give them the chance of a future. This year we will once again be grateful to every guest who, in buying a raffle ticket, will be joining us in taking responsibility for children who urgently need our support,” says Monika Griefahn, chief sustainability officer AIDA Cruises.

Alongside numerous high-value non-cash prizes, AIDA Cruises will also be giving away a total of 22 cruises to raffle winners.

“We are grateful to have reliable partners like AIDA at our side. With the company’s financial support we can realise many projects throughout the world and thus provide truly effective help,” says Elke Tesarczyk, head of marketing, SOS-Kinderdorf e.V.

Supporting charitable projects is an important element of the AIDA corporate culture and a matter very close to the company’s heart. AIDA is a long-standing sponsor of numerous social and cultural projects as well as maritime organisations.
