Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) announced today it has added two new members to its global leadership team.
Andy Harmer, former vice president, operations & director, UK & Ireland, has been promoted to senior vice president, membership. Bo Larsen, former vice president, strategic partnerships, has also been promoted to senior vice president, strategic partnerships.
Harmer, who joined CLIA in 2006 will be responsible for working with CLIA leaders around the world to oversee all travel agent and professional development programmes. Larsen, who joined CLIA in 2014 will manage the strategic direction of CLIA’s Executive Partner Programme on a global scale.
As the cruise industry continues to grow at a record pace, these new promotions will be instrumental in ensuring that CLIA continues to meet the growing and evolving needs of its members and the greater cruise community. Both will serve as key members of the leadership team under Cindy D’Aoust, president and CEO, CLIA.
“I am truly proud of both of these leaders, they have each demonstrated a key combination of expertise and leadership during their time with CLIA and I am looking forward to working more closely with them in these expanded roles,” said D’Aoust. “Their presence in Europe will ensure complete alignment and execution across all global offices to continue to drive our industry forward.”
In addition to these two new roles, earlier this year CLIA Global welcomed Arnold Donald, CEO of Carnival Corporation & plc., as CLIA Global Chair, and CLIA Europe welcomed Tom Fecke, as Secretary General and Kyriakos Anastassiadis, CEO of Celestyal Cruises, as Chair.
