Golfasian, the golf tour operator, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Solar Golf, which is based in the Thai resort town of Pattaya.
Solar Golf has operated for more than 10 years, running multiple tournaments and managing hundreds of group tours, mainly for British golfers.
Following the acquisition, Solar Golf will continue to be managed by Stuart Mackie, the son of company founder Callum Mackie.
“A vital ingredient of our success is to have a strong operational presence in our key destinations. With over 10 years of presence in Pattaya and a strong UK market share, Solar Golf was the perfect fit for us,” explained Mark Siegel, managing director of Golfasian.
Founded in Bangkok in 1997, Golfasian has grown to become one of Asia’s largest golf tour operators, with a membership base of more than 160,000 golfers.
