Radisson turns Blu in Jammu

Carlson Rezidor has launched its upscale hotel brand, Radisson Blu, in the Indian city of Jammu.

Located on the eastern side of the Tawi River, less than 15 minutes’ drive from Jammu Airport, Radisson Blu Jammu a modern hotel with an array of amenities.

It features a total of 119 rooms and suites, plus two restaurants, a bar, 24-hour room service, an executive lounge, business centre, swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.

And for the all-important Indian MICE market, the hotel features a ballroom that can accommodate up to 2,000 guests with additional pre-function space and a lawn for outdoor functions.

“Jammu is a region that enjoys strong domestic leisure demand and is home to some of the most visited destinations in India,” said Raj Rana, Carlson Rezidor’s CEO for South Asia. “Integral to our India growth strategy, is expanding in leisure markets and state capitals. With the opening of Radisson Blu Jammu, we will make inroads into the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.”

The move into Jammu forms part of Carlson Rezidor’s Indian expansion strategy, which includes plans to establish a presence in every Indian state capital.
