With five ships deployed in Europe this summer and on its 50th year of cruising, Norwegian is announcing its second top five list of the year. This time, the cruise line has picked out its top five spa facilities on board Norwegian’s young fleet. Each unique environment is perfect for helping guests feel relaxed, refreshed and revitalised on their cruise holiday.
Salt Room
Available on Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Escape, the Salt Room is the ideal place to relax. As part of the Thermal Suite, the Salt Room is designed to mimic the naturally occurring salt mines and caves of Europe, used for centuries by monks for their healing properties. The room uses salt aerosol machines to fill the air with tiny breathable salt particles, that when inhaled can help alleviate breathing problems and coughs.
Snow Room
A unique feature on board Norwegian Escape, the Snow Room forms another part of the Thermal Suite, and allows passengers to cool off in sub-zero temperatures. Kept at -6 – 0°c the Snow Room offers guests a contrast to the heat of the sauna. This is associated with multiple health benefits, including increased blood circulation and alleviating sore muscles. This magical room even features real snow falling gently from the ceiling.
Sea View Sauna
A stunning addition to the Thermal Suite, available on a number of ships across the entire Norwegian fleet*, the Sea View Sauna enables passengers to relax and unwind in the dry heat whilst enjoying spectacular views out of the floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s the perfect place for guests to ease their aching muscles and clear their mind.
Treatment Room
Guests can enter into these tranquil rooms and experience a massage, facial treatment, body wrap or acupuncture therapy to name just a few. From an Elemis Aroma Spa Seaweed Massage, combining the power of the ocean with the healing effects of aromatherapy, to an Elemis Aroma-Star Ocean Wrap to detox and cleanse the system, these rooms are where guests can feel free to truly lay back, relax and refresh themselves.
Thalasso Therapy Pool
Available as part of the Thermal Suite across the Norwegian fleet, the Thalasso Therapy Pool is a highly popular way to relax on board as guests can unwind in the soothing, mineral rich salt water pool. Best after a vigorous gym class, swim or shore excursion, the hydrotherapy jets soothe aching muscles, and guests can experience the ultimate relaxation while sailing their way to one of many exciting ports.
