Lufthansa’s third Airbus A350 aircraft – and the second to be deployed to India – has been delivered to the airline.
The new long-haul jet touched down at Munich Airport recently, and is scheduled to be deployed on the airline’s route to Mumbai from 15 April.
Lufthansa’s first A350 entered service earlier this year on the Munich-Delhi route, while the second is flying to Boston.
The A350-900 aircraft is able to carry 293 passengers – 48 in business class, 21 in premium economy and 224 in economy. It will replace the 236-seat A330-300 Lufthansa currently operates on the Munich-Mumbai route
Lufthansa has ordered 25 A350s, the first 15 of which will be stationed in Munich.
