For the first time ever Titan, the escorted tour and cruise operator, has exclusively chartered a river cruise vessel, the MS Serenade 1 for a full season in 2017 and 2018. Titan took ownership of the 4-star, 68 cabin vessel in March 2017 to ply the tranquil and picturesque waters of the Rhine, Danube, Main and Dutch Waterways.

The new brochure features 18 varied itineraries for 2018 departures and three new Christmas 2017 itineraries to some of Europe’s finest festive markets.

Commenting on MS Serenade 1, Andy Squirrell, MD for Titan said “Every aspect of the cruise experience aboard the ship has been designed with the needs and interests of the Titan traveller in mind. After many years of working with some of the world’s leading operators we know what makes a great river cruise.

“We’re excited to be offering a chance to explore some of Europe’s finest waterways in true style and comfort and by chartering our own vessel we have been able to tailor all aspects of the cruise, from the itineraries, excursions and cuisine to the inclusions and on-board ambience, specifically to suit UK travellers”.

The new five-day ‘Traditional Christmas Markets on the Rhine’ offers the chance to embrace the festive season in the cities of Koblenz, Frankfurt, Rüdesheim and Mainz.

Also new is the chance to celebrate Christmas in style with an eight-day ‘Christmas on the Rhine. Spend Christmas Eve enjoying a guided walking tour of Speyer, then walk off Christmas Day indulgences in the cosmopolitan city of Strasbourg.

In March 2018, the season kicks off with a six-day ‘Dutch Waterways and the Beautiful Keukenhof Gardens’ cruise. Further highlights include the compact city of Hoorn and Enkhuizen, which both became wealthy in the 17th Century from the Dutch East India Company, and the picturesque village Zaandam Schans where six well preserved windmills have been relocated.
