Emirates will continue to expand its Australian operations later this year, with the launch of a third daily service to Brisbane.
Commencing on 1 December 2017, the new direct flight from Dubai will be operated using a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft with eight seats in first class, 42 in business class and 216 in economy, resulting in a capacity increase of 3,724 weekly seats on the route.
Flight EK430 will depart Dubai at 2200 and arrive in Brisbane at 1815 the following day, while the return flight EK431 will take off from Brisbane at 2225 and land back in Dubai at 0700 the next morning. These timings will allow more passengers from the UK, France and North America to connect to the Queensland city.
The new direct service will run alongside Emirates’ two daily flights to Brisbane, one of which operates via Singapore while the other continues onwards to Auckland.
The announcement of the third Brisbane flight follows the recent news that Emirates will be upgrading its third daily service to Melbourne to an Airbus A380 operation from 25 March 2018.
