Corinthian Travel has created a new trip to Oman entitled, Camping in Oman: Family Holiday.
The private tour combines stays by the Indian Ocean in Muscat and Salalah, with a five-day journey through the Wahiba Sands and coastal Oman, resulting in an authentic travel experience where you are unlikely to encounter anyone except local tribespeople.
Whilst camping in the wilderness of Oman, the family will enjoy delicious al fresco meals prepared by a private Omani guide and his support team, and benefit from comforts that include a shower tent, toilet tent and a sleeping tent equippe with a camp-bed and mattress.
Hugh Fraser, director of Corinthian Holidays, said, “This is a totally new itinerary that explores areas that are virtually untouched by tourism and provides a chance to discover the very essence of the Sultanate.”
The holiday – which is timed for the Easter break – costs from £3200 pp, based on a family of four sharing.
This includes 10 nights B&B (plus seven lunches and four dinners), private chauffeured transportation throughout, sightseeing and entrances as per the itinerary, private snorkelling excursion by boat to Bandar Al Khiran and a guide.
