Centara trains students
Centara Hotels and Resorts has set up Centara Academy, a hospitality training centre, with Thailand’s Department of Skills Development, the Ministry of Labour and Rangsit University.
The Centara Academy receives high school graduates to train for free for one year. The students receive an allowance and once they complete their training, they are offered employment in one of the 13 properties of Centara Hotels and Resorts. The pilot project started in 2007 with an initial 37 students who will complete their course at the end of April.
