Preferred Hotels & Resorts has entered into a partnership with Singapore-based hotel group GHM to represent The Chedi Mumbai, as part of its Lifestyle Collection.
Scheduled to open this autumn, The Chedi Mumbai will be GHM’s first hotel in India. It will also take Preferred’s Indian portfolio to 30 properties, making it the largest independent hotel brand in the country.
Located in the Powai region, the new luxury property will feature 312 rooms and suites, a club lounge, seven F&B outlets, a spa and extensive meeting space.
“Continuing on our roadmap to further build a resounding presence for Preferred Hotels & Resorts in the region, we are delighted to embark on our first alliance with GHM and celebrate having 30 distinct independent member hotels in India,” said Saurabh Rai, executive vice president of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
“A prime addition to our brand portfolio, The Chedi Mumbai will provide discerning urban travellers with an exciting new experience in this vibrant city. We look forward to working closely with the GHM team as the opening approaches and to paving a road for more collaboration opportunities in the future.”
Travellers will be able to book The Chedi Mumbai online or via the new iPrefer mobile app, which is available to members of the iPrefer rewards programme.
“We are creating a buzz in an exciting location in the city and redefining the concept of luxury lifestyle and quality dining in Mumbai. The Chedi Mumbai’s collaboration with Preferred Hotels & Resorts will not only leverage this luxury lifestyle concept for Mumbai’s elite, but will also amplify our strategic efforts to reach out to discerning travellers on an international level,” said Giulio D’Alberto, the new hotel’s GM.
