With the opening of Novotel Balikpapan, Novotel Nusa Dua Bali and Mercure Surabaya in Indonesia last year, Accor will manage three new hotels by the end of this year.
Accor’s economy brand Ibis is also expanding in the country, with the opening of the 172-room Ibis Semarang and 152-room Ibis Solo by mid-2008.
Ibis Semarang is located in the central business district of Semarang, the capital city of Central Java.
Ibis Solo is a new hotel located in the heart of Solo city – the capital city of Javanese culture. Accor has also introduced its second Formule 1 hotel in Indonesia – the 113-room Formule 1 Cikini in Jakarta. Located at Cikini Street and easily accessible from the Jakarta Golden Triangle, the hotel is targeted to open by the end of the year. Accor’s Formule 1, Menteng opened in late 2006.
Accor Asia Pacific Vice President- Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, Gerard Guilleout said, “Accor has been operating in Indonesia for a decade.
