The island of Machchafushi in the Maldives, home to the Centara Grand Island Resort and Spa, has been officially renamed “Centara Grand Island”.
The island, with an air transfer time of 25 minutes from Male airport, features a diving reef complete with a sunken ship wreck and is within easy reach of the top dive spots in Ari Atoll.
The US$49 million, 112-suite & villa Centara resort is the group’s first property outside Thailand.
