Banyan Tree Bangkok welcomes Alexander Sheppard as its new hotel manager

Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Alexander Sheppard as its new hotel manager for Banyan Tree Bangkok this week.
Originally from New Zealand, Mr. Sheppard studied French literature and Management at Victoria University. He has lived and worked for International hotel brands including Hyatt and Dusit Thani Hotels in Egypt, Indonesia, Australia and the United States over the last twenty years.
Mr. Sheppard brings with him luxury hotel and hospitality experience with numerous achievements in opening food and beverage projects and concepts including restaurants, bars, multi-purpose function spaces and private member clubs around the globe. His latest assignment prior to joining the Banyan Tree Group was with Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo, Egypt where he was Executive Assistant Manager.
Mr. Sheppard believes that the key to success in hospitality is ‘the people’ where teamwork and collaboration are significant factors that drive a successful property. With an aligned core value, Banyan Tree is confident that Mr. Sheppard will drive Banyan Tree Bangkok forward and to even greater heights.
