TUI, the UK’s biggest travel and tour operator, has revealed its 2019 summer programme with more flights, options, and destinations for travellers.

Starting in summer 2019, five additional aircraft will operate on 40 new routes from 15 airports, in what TUI calls a “dynamic regional aviation plan”. Half of these new routes will be directed to Greece, Turkey, and Croatia, and 200,000 extra seats will be available to Cape Verde.

“Summer 2019 is the most ambitious programme we have ever introduced”

Richard Sofer, TUI UK’s commercial director, said: “Summer 2019 is the most ambitious programme we have ever introduced. We are focusing firmly on expanding access to our amazing range of holidays through an extended regional flying programming concentrated on the core destinations holidaymakers want to travel to while offering the flexibility of holiday duration they want.”

TUI will also be stationing an additional aircraft at Cardiff Airport in Wales, so passengers will be able to fly from Cardiff to Dubrovnik in Croatia and Naples in Italy. The Naples flights have been added to go hand-in-hand with TUI’s Marella Explorer 2, the new ship from Marella Cruises, the largest cruise programme in the UK.

“We are also giving customers even more opportunity when booking their summer holidays with the new addition of long-haul flying and more 10 and 11-night holiday options,” Sofer added.

Instead of just having its regular 7 or 14-night options, passengers will have 10 or 11-night holiday options to choose from.

Furthermore, there will be 16 new TUI or First Choice branded resorts, including Holiday Village and SplashWorld. In addition, five adult-only TUI Sensimar Resorts will be added, one each in the Greek islands of Crete, Zakynthos and Santorini, one in Dalaman, Turkey and one in Agadir, Morocco.

According to TUI, adding these news flights and options is a move to reward its many loyal customers. Prices of the summer programme are yet to be revealed but will be available starting 5 April 2019.
