The Rotana brand was launched with the opening of their first property, the Rotana Beach Abu Dhabi in 1993. This beach property has served as both a brand and a home market icon. 25 years later Rotana returns to its home market with a follow-up Abu Dhabi beach property.

Fans of the Rotana brand will no doubt be delighted to see the a new five star product in the city after focusing most of their new development over the past 24 months across the middle east and Africa.

The Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas is a five star resort located in the center of Saadiyat Island.   If your aren’t familiar with the island, it’s a new development and targeted to be the Abu Dhabi’s cultural centre.  It will include three museums: Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi.

Given the island’s cultural focus Rotana, a local company, itself steeped in the local history is uniquely suited to deliver the island’s premier property. The new luxury beachfront resort is designed in line with the local Arabic and Emirati focus down to the smallest detail.

“[The hotel is ]… set to become the go-to destination in the capital for a luxurious resort experience.”

Emirati-inspired artwork is featured throughout the property, including a core collaboration with Ashwaq Abdulla. The Emirati artist has created pieces based on local nature which feature as a highlight in each of the resort’s rooms, suites and villas.

“We are very excited to be launching the first phase of Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas which is set to become the go-to destination in the Capital for a luxurious resort experience,” said GM Marc de Beer.

The property includes a broad selection of fine and casual dining, fitness facilities, a luxury spa and family focused activities and facilities.

MICE facilities are impressive and must be on the Hot and New list for any MICE organizer looking at Abu Dhabi luxury venues.

The property includes a 450-seat ballroom and spectacular 510 sqm outdoor event venue that will contend to be the top wedding and casual corporate function venue in Abu Dhabi.

The property joins two other five star resorts on Saadiyat Island: the Park Hyatt and the St. Regis.
